Michael & Carmen had their civil ceremony in Tegernsee back in March and early September they hard their church wedding, where I got to spend the whole day with them!

They both got ready at the Tulip Inn Alp Style in Dachau near Munich. Michael & Carmen had rooms right across the hall from each other, which made shooting both of them getting ready a piece of cake! I had time to get some detail shots as well and the neat decor in the hotel lobby was perfect for that!

Eventually we all made our way to St. Kastulus Church for their ceremony. The priest was actually a friend of Carmen’s and made the trip down all the way from Dortmund. That helped make the ceremony even more beautiful and personal..not to mention he was totally laid back and brought some humor into the ceremony :)

After the ceremony we drove over to Hofgut Sickertshofen where the reception was planned. Hofgut Sickertshofen is a 200 year old stall that was just renovated last year..this was actually their first season hosting weddings and events! It was great! It’s private and pretty much a blank slate, so you can really put your own mark on it. I love that Carmen & Michael chose to use uplighting, it really gave the reception room a cool feel.

The afternoon was relaxed with drinks and finger foods outside and the evening was full of great, emotional speeches, great food (as always) from Gavesi Catering, lots of laughter and lots of dancing. When the DJ started playing 80s classics like Vanilla Ice and McHammer, the dance floor just filled up! It was great :D

It was such a great day, everyone was in the best mood! It was also great seeing one of my 2012 couples again!
