I first met Ivor & Marina at a wedding back in 2013 and had the pleasure of working with them last summer for a couple’s session which turned out to be one of my Ivor & Marina’s Couple Session – Munich Photographer! So I was thrilled when they asked me to join them for their civil ceremony earlier this month in Schliersee! 2016 is turning out to be quite the year for them with their wedding and their first baby due in August! How exciting!
It was a beautiful, relaxing day with just a few of their closest friends and family. We met up a few minutes before their ceremony at the Standesamt in Schliersee. This was my first time shooting in this Standesamt, but I loved it..it was a beautiful room with lot’s of rustic charm rather than a the typical cold Standesamt found in many cities. The ceremony was so nice, lots of smiles from ear to ear and of course a few tears in between :)
After the ceremony we drove down the road to the Markus Wasmeier Freilichtmuseum for lunch and a tour of the museum. This place was so nice.. lot’s of old rustic buildings and neat rooms to really give you a taste back in the old days. Lunch was delicious and the tour was fun and very informative. We even had a visit from Markus Wasmeier himself! Incase that name doesn’t ring a bell, won a few Olympic gold medals for skiing in 1994 as well as the World Cup back in 1985. I’ll definitely be heading back down there sometime this summer, it’s a great place to spend a relaxing day!
