It was a hot summer’s day, perfect for a lake-side wedding! Just the day before, Vivien & Marton had their civil ceremony in Munich. After they said “I Do” in front of their closest friends & family, we headed out into the city for a photo shoot and it was AWESOME! I love that they wanted more of an “urban” scene. As much as I love all the nature around Munich, I really get excited when I can do a city session. So we spent some time walking around Schwabing, and wow, Vivien & Marton were SO easy to photograph and super photogenic too! I was already looking forward to the next day where they’d have their church wedding and big party after.

Fast forward to Saturday morning, we started off at Gut Aiterbach with some getting ready shots of Vivien & Marton before heading out to the dock where a boat was waiting to take all of the guests over to Fraueninsel, an island on Chiemsee. This all took a bit of logistical planning as Vivien & Marton wanted their first look to be at the church when Vivien’s dad walked her down the aisle, but it went off without a hitch…Vivien hid away downstairs, while Marton and the guests enjoyed the views upstairs. All I have to say about that is that it REALLY paid off… it turned out to be one of the best “first looks” I have photographed yet.

We eventually make it to Fraueninsel and take a short walk up to the church and before we knew it, it was show time, and Vivien entered the church with her father. As Vivien approached Marton at the altar, he found it harder and harder to hold back his tears, no matter how hard he tried, there was no stopping the flood of emotion he was feeling when he saw his stunning bride walk toward him. And understandably so because Vivien looked AH-MAZING! The rest ceremony was beautiful, with no shortage of tears and laughter.

After the ceremony, we headed across the way to the Inselhotel zur Linde where everyone enjoyed some champagne and then coffee & cake. With the summer we had this year, it wasn’t a given that the weather would cooperate, but I am so glad it did! It was so nice to sit outside and enjoy what was left of the summer while celebrating love! Once Vivien & Marton cut their wedding cake, we snuck off for some photos around the island and then down by the docks before boarding the boat and heading back to Gut Aiterbach.

After some group photos and a few more portraits down by the lake, we headed inside for the reception. After an amazing meal and touching speeches, the party got started and the dance floor filled up! It was a great ending to a perfect day!
