I first met Vivien at another wedding I shot a few years ago, and was super excited when she reached out to me about shooting her and Andreas’ wedding this year. After I met up with Vivien & Andreas to discuss the details, I knew it would be the exact kind of wedding I love to photograph: fun and full of love and laughter! And boy was I right!

The wedding weekend started off on Friday in Augsburg, Vivien’s hometown. We met up for some portraits at the Schaezlerpalais before heading across the street to the Standesamt for the civil ceremony where Vivien & Andreas tied the knot infront of a few friends and family members. After that we headed down the street for some champagne and a delicious lunch at Mille Miglia.

The celebrations continued on Saturday in Munich. I met up with Vivien & Andreas at their apartment to get some getting ready photos before making our way over to the reception location – the Bayerisches National Museum Restaurant which just so happens to be my favorite location in Munich. The restaurant is under new leadership, so the wedding planning was a bit of a cliff hanger for Vivien & Andreas as they weren’t sure the new owner would honor wedding contracts signed with the previous owner, but after months of waiting, the finally got the OK! As it turns out though, Vivien & Andreas’ wedding was the last wedding to be held there which is such a shame because it really is an amazing location..beautiful grounds, centrally located, amazing food and a great staff! But I have to say, Vivien & Andreas’ wedding was the perfect last wedding..what a great way to wrap things up!

After admiring the newly renovated interior and the beautiful decorations (compliments of Das Hochzeitswerk & Das Blühende Atelier), Vivien & Andreas welcomed their guests with a champagne reception followed by amazing cake by Alma Pasteles which almost looked too good to eat (it tasted as good as it looked!) The afternoon was really off to an amazing start, everyone was having such a great time, I knew we were in for an amazing party later that night!

We managed to make some time for some group photos and portraits before heading in for dinner and the evening’s events.

As always, the food was amazing and we got to hear some really great, touching speeches between the courses including a slide show that Vivien’s brother put together. The highlight though was an appearance from the Ghostbusters lol. It was one of the best, most creative performances I have seen at a wedding yet, and the guests loved it! After that Vivien & Andreas opened the dance floor with their first dance and the rest of the night was filled with an awesome party and tons of dancing!

I had SO much fun with Vivien & Andreas and their amazing guests! I also had a lot of fun editing these photos, it reminds me of how much fun the day was. I feel like almost all the photos of Vivien are of her cracking up…photographing someone with such positive energy who knows how to fun is always a pleasure, and the fact that Andreas & Vivien could make each other laugh with just a simple look made it so easy for me to photograph them!

Thanks so much to you both for letting me be a part of you amazing wedding! It will definitely go down as one of the most fun weddings I’ve had the pleasure of photographing!! Hope these photos help you relive that day over and over again!
