Eva & Sebastian tied the knot near Munich the end of July. It was an AMAZING day!
I met up with Eva & Sebastian at their home and Eva’s parents’ house next door where they were getting ready. Eva had just finished up at the hair salon when I arrived and was about to have her maid of honor do her make-up before getting into her stunning dress…I love all the beadwork on it and Eva looked GORGEOUS! Before leaving for the Standesamt I snuck over to where Sebastian was getting ready to get some shots of him as well. He wore a beautiful blue suit and was looking quite dapper!
I drove over to the Standesamt in Markt Indersdorf with Sebastian and his best man in a wedding car close to my heart… a big ass Dodge Ram pickup truck! You don’t see many of them over here, and it felt bigger than usual on these small German streets, but it really reminded me of home (yep, I’m a country girl!).
The civil ceremony was short and sweet and Eva & Sebastian were surrounded by their closest friends and family and were surprised by some other friends who joined them for a little champagne reception. We had some time before the church ceremony so we went off for some portraits. I was thrilled to see that the skies were cloudy because the light was just gorgeous…look at those colors!
Time flew by of course and we had to head back to Petershausen for Eva & Sebastian’s church ceremony. I’ve been in some beautiful churches over the past for years as a wedding photographer, but this church definitely is somewhere close to the top of the list of most beautiful churches. It’s not huge, but just so pretty inside! The ceremony was perfect, lots of laughter and tears. The priest did a really great job, he made the ceremony more relaxed and entertaining than some…everyone got a kick out of it when his segway into the vows and ring exchange was “jetzt wirds ernst” (now it’s getting serious) with his charming accent.
Right after the ceremony, we headed over to Schuhbauers Tenne near Freising. This was the 3rd time I’d been there and I have to say, it’s one of my favorite locations near Munich. It’s just a beautiful location, everyone that works there is always super friendly, and the food is really good :) That said, the Tenne looked even more beautiful than usual this time around. I love that Eva & Sebastian decided to hang pink pom-poms from the ceiling… it really added a nice pop of color and a bit of flair! I know it was a bit of added stress since Sebastian had to hang them up THAT morning, but it was so worth it!! Aaaaand… I LOVE that they had Gladiola’s as their main flower and centrepieces. I love Gladiola’s and always look forward to this time of year where they pop up all over the country side in “pick your own” flower fields, but this was my first time seeing them at a wedding. And the tall centerpieces worked PERFECTLY with the high ceilings of Schuhbauers Tenne!
After the couple was congratulated by all of their guests, they cut their wedding cake and opened up the cake buffet. Soon after that Sebastian & Eva were pretty much kicked out of the location (lol) so their guests could prepare a little surprise they had planned..a balloon release! I took advantage of this and got a few more portraits in and some photos of Eva & Sebastian with their wedding “car.” The rest of the day was spent mingling, eating, drinking and DANCING! And the highlight, for me, was the super romantic torch lit dance some of the guests had planned… it.was.beautiful! Like goosebumps kind of beautiful. It was the perfect way to end a perfect day!
@Eva & Sebastian, I hope you had a good time on your honeymoon in my home country!! I had so much fun with you and your guests, it was just a perfect day!
