I met Anni and her sister Rosi at a wedding fair I did near Landshut in 2014, this was before Anni was even engaged. Almost a year later Anni sent me an email wanting to book me for her wedding…as soon as she mentioned that she was at the wedding fair with her sister I knew exactly who she was :) We set up a first meeting and I got to meet Flo and get to know Anni a bit better, and I knew right away their wedding would be awesome and tons of fun, and that it was!
I started out at Anni & Flo’s apartment where Flo was getting ready with his best man. It was 10am and as soon as I walked in they offered me a beer lol… still a bit too early for me, I had to decline but I thought to myself “yep, this is going to be a fun day :)” Getting ready shots of guys usually doesn’t take too long, so once they were finished I headed over to Anni’s parents house where Anni was getting ready with her 2 bridesmaids and the rest of her family. I love this part of the day…everyone is always so excited and nervous before the ceremony..it’s usually also a bit chaotic with people running around getting ready, looking on as the bride gets ready, etc.
Once hair & make-up was finished and Anni was in her dress, her bridesmaids helped her with the finishing touches. Anni looked so beautiful! Barbara from Brautshau! Haare & Make-up did a wonderful job with her hair & make-up, and her dress was simple stunning.
The morning flew by and before we knew it, the ceremony was about to begin. Flo waited at the alter for his bride and as the suspense built up he found it pretty hard to hold back his emotions by the time Anni came in with her father who seemed to be holding back tears of his own. It was just beautiful, and times like that that really, really make me love my job. There is something SO sweet and moving about a crying groom! While the newlyweds were led out of the church by some of the cutest flower kids I’ve ever seen, Flo’s ice hockey friends were waiting outside forming an arch with their hockey sticks..I love personal touches like that :)
After the ceremony we all took off for Schloss Insel Altfraunhofen. I had never been there before, but it was a really great location! The weather was pretty crazy that day, but it stayed dry long enough so the guests could enjoy the Sektempfang outside on the terrace and we could get in some family photos before it started to rain. That was the perfect cue to head inside for coffee and cake! After Anni & Flo had some time to relax and enjoy their wedding cake, the sun actually came out, so we took advantage of that and went outside for a bit for some photo of Anni & Flo. They did so great! Not only did they both look amazing (I know I already mentioned Anni’s stunning dress, but how about Flo’s suit! I loved it!!), but they’re both super photogenic and so in love that they were just glowing!
Not wanting to keep the guests waiting too long, we kept it short and went back in for their first dance. Before Flo knew it, Anni was “kidnapped” and he had to go find her and get her back. The next 2 hours were filled with so much wine, singing, dancing and fun. The band did such a great job getting people into the party mood!
I think it’s safe to say that everyone worked up quite an appetite for dinner. The food was so good! I took some time during dinner to set up the photobooth and was super excited to get that started. Flo played ice hockey professionally here in Germany, so of course there were a bunch of ice hockey players at the wedding..I had a feeling they knew how to party and would have fun with the photobooth and, well, I was right :D For the rest of the night everyone had a great time with the photobooth and some of my crazy props and of course on the dance floor! One of their guests even took over the microphone from the band and sang a song for the bride & groom..she was amazing!
The day just went by so fast and in what felt like a blink of an eye, it was time for Anni & Flo’s last dance. I think it’s safe to say that everyone had an amazing time! A beautiful day, ended with the awesome party Flo & Anni had hoped for!
Flo & Anni… you guys were such an awesome couple to work with! It was so great spending the day with you, I had so much fun with you and your guests! I hope your wedding was everything you imagined it would be and more :D
