Eva & Dani contacted me a little over 1 month before their wedding, so with no time to spare, we met up as soon as possible to discuss all the details, get to know each other a bit, etc. As soon as we sat down I was excited about their wedding…. Eva & Dani were super relaxed, funny and easy to talk to. My excitement grew even more when they told me they planned on wearing colored Chucks at their wedding! I love Chucks! And I’d have a pair in every color if I had room for them :D So as soon as they told me about the Chucks I was sold! I knew it was going to be a great wedding lol :)
Fast forward a few weeks to the big day! I took a train down to Prien am Chiemsee which is where their civil ceremony was held. As soon as I saw Eva & Dani I became even more excited…they looked AWESOME!!! I love how they coordinated their outfits and how the green POPPED against their white clothes. Of course it wasn’t just the clothing that brought together their ensemble, but also the huge smiles on their faces that were clearly visible throughout the entire day… there was no doubt that these two are totally in love and were so excited to marry each other!
After the short civil ceremony, Eva, Dani and I went off for a photo session while their guests had some time off. They scouted the area a few weeks earlier and sent me an email with pics of their findings…I think we hit the jackpot with the location and as soon as I saw their pics I knew it was the perfect spot. What they had found was a spot on Chiemsee for public swimming with an old wooden bath house (I’m not sure thats the right word but I couldn’t think of a better word for Badehaus..pretty soon my English will be just as bad as my German lol :D) So we spent a little over an hour around the property making use of all of the textures and colors around us… it really was perfect!
Once I got all of the shots I needed, we went to meet up with the guests at the bottom of the Geigelstein mountain. While waiting for all of the guests to arrive, many of them traveling from Hungary and northern Germany, Eva & Dani had a chance to mingle with their guests while enjoying cold drinks and some appetizers. Once all of the guests arrived and everyone put on their hiking shoes, we began the trip up the mountain to the Wuhrsteinalm, the cute little mountain hut where they would be spending the rest of their day. Eva & Dani love nature, which is why they chose to celebrate their wedding in the midst of the beautiful bavarian nature, allowing them to share their passion with their guests who aren’t from around here. The view from the hut was just breathtaking, so peaceful and romantic, the perfect setting for a day celebrating love these 2 wonderful ladies have for each other!
As soon as everyone freshened up and changed into their party attire, the guests had time to relax, get to know each other, and enjoy a wonderful meal in an intimate setting. And when I say intimate, I mean intimate! We were up in the mountains, in a little hut with no one else around except the super nice folks that work there! I was done at 11pm but from what I heard from Eva a few days later, the Wuhrsteinalm was rocking until 4am!! That sounds like quite the party! ;)
